8 Ways to Treat Yourself for Valentines’ Day

This is the first year that I’ve had a Valentine for Valentine’s Day! In order to honor the last 16 years where I was single, here are 10 gifts you should treat yourself to! Remember, you do not need a significant other, you have yourself. 🙂

1. Chocolate. The most obvious gift one shall buy oneself is a box of chocolates. You can pick up a box at CVS for around $3. If you really want to treat yourself to some premium chocolate, head over to diAmano chocolate. They’re here in Atlanta and all of their delicious chocolate is homemade.

2. Buy yourself some flowers. I recommend buying some yellow roses because they represent joy. A bouquet of wildflowers are another great idea. They symbolize the wild nature of your heart, you don’t need a lover to tame you!

3. A cat mug. Do you love cats? Do your friends joke that you’re a cat lady? Not all us of can be Taylor Swift, as in we all can’t be obsessed with cats and get dates. So, head over to Ore’Originals and buy yourself a lovely cat mug for $8!

4. Take yourself on a shopping spree! Instead of spending your hard-earned cash on a gift for someone else, head over to the Vans store and get yourself a new pair  of shoes for around $60. They’ve got new pairs coming out every month. Rather get yourself some dresses? Head over to JC Penney, where you can get a whole new wardrobe of dresses for the same $60!

5. The Game of Thrones book series. This is absolutely one of my favorite shows. I’m well aware that some people would rather wait to watch the TV series until after they’ve read the books. I’m the opposite. But if you’re one of those people, it’s the perfect time to order the book series off Amazon for a steal of $30, cuddle up with your dog in bed and get to some guilt-free reading in!

6. Lego light saber earrings. Nerdlings unite! Who doesn’t love Star Wars?? You can pick up a pair of light saber earrings on Amazon for $11. They come in a multitude of colors, including: blue, yellow, red and pink. GO, NOW!

7. Treat yourself to a spa session. Get yourself a colorful or bold mani-pedi. And while you’re at it, get a facial, visit the sauna and get a new haircut. Get yourself a new look!

8. Dye your hair. Whether you want a permanent or temporary hair change this is a great way to go about changing up your hair style. Blue looks great in dark and light hair. Pink or red looks amazing in light hair.

5 Christmas Gifts Your Boyfriend Will Love

Looking for the perfect gift for your boyfriend? Whether you have a long distance boyfriend(like me!) or a hometown sweetheart, you’re bound to find at least one gift on this list for your handsome hunk!

 

1. Concert Tickets. What kind of music does he like? Upcoming concerts in Atlanta include: The Black Keys-December 11th 2014, Maroon 5-February 19 2015, Pentatonix-March 21 2105, Kenny Chesney-June 13 2015 and Taylor Swift-October 21 2015.

2. Open When… letters. These have hit the internet by storm-especially by way of Pinterest. Basically, you write letter for your boyfriend for him to open at a specified time. Some ideas are: Open on our 6th month anniversary, open when you’re sad, open when you need to know how much I love you, open when we are fighting…

 

3. Homemade lottery tickets. Make him a few scratch offs. He could win things like: you making his favorite dinner, a back rub, movie date on you, etc…

 

4.Does your guy enjoy writing? Whether he’s a poet or need to write down his homework,  journal is a great idea! Some great journals can be found on ETSY or pinterest.

 

5. Video games! Does your guy love COD? The new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare JUST came out! Head over to Wal-Mart and pick it up. 🙂
